Spain–Central Asia Business Gateway
Central Asia focus · South Caucasus gateway
From regional opportunity to Spanish execution.
SCABG identifies and prepares business and public-sector opportunities in Central Asia. We qualify the need, sponsor, decision path and project stage, then connect suitable opportunities with Spanish companies and, where relevant, Spain’s internationalisation ecosystem.
SCABG is an independent private-sector platform. All engagement remains subject to each company’s or institution’s own assessment.
Regional scope
Central Asia at the core. The South Caucasus as a distinct gateway.
Our current public evidence base is in Uzbekistan. SCABG’s wider regional development scope includes Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, with capability developed according to verified local access and project flow. In the South Caucasus, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia are treated as distinct gateway markets.

What SCABG does
A disciplined route from first signal to a prepared opportunity.
We do the early-stage work that makes a regional need understandable and assessable from the Spanish side.
Originate
Identify a real opportunity with a real sponsor or decision-maker.
Qualify
Test the need, counterpart, project stage and decision pathway.
Prepare
Convert local demand into a structured project brief and evidence set.
Match
Identify the appropriate Spanish technical, operating or financial capability.
Coordinate
Maintain the local workstream through data, meetings and preparation.
Hand over
Transfer the prepared opportunity to the relevant companies or institutions for their own assessment and execution.
Who we work with
Three audiences. One preparation standard.
The entry point changes. The discipline does not: verified need, accountable sponsor, clear stage and a defined decision required from the Spanish side.

How the model works in practice
Selected Opportunities in Development
SCABG is not built around theoretical market access. The platform is already supporting live opportunity origination, qualification and project preparation across Central Asia. These examples illustrate different stages of the process—from institutional origination and technical qualification to structured preparation and Spanish partner engagement.
Project names and counterparties are anonymised where required by confidentiality or where formal public disclosure has not yet been agreed.
Child Neurorehabilitation Programme
A public-sector healthcare initiative focused on specialised child neurorehabilitation and early-intervention services. A Spanish healthcare specialist has defined the initial preparation methodology, and structured documentary review is underway.
Ambulance & EMS Modernisation
A healthcare modernisation opportunity focused on emergency medical services and specialised ambulance capability. Local requirements and technical documentation are being consolidated before specialist partner engagement.
Kazakhstan–Spain Priority Project Pipeline
An institutional origination initiative to identify and qualify industrial, infrastructure and technology opportunities suitable for Spanish engineering, industrial and operating partners.
Spanish Hotel Group Market Entry
A market-entry programme supporting a Spanish hospitality operator in identifying and qualifying hotel and development opportunities. Selected opportunities are under Spanish review, with supporting information being assembled.
Karakalpakstan Industrial Project Portfolio
A regional portfolio covering waste processing, industrial chemicals, ceramics, road equipment, logistics and bio-waste valorisation. Regional authorities have confirmed the projects as current and designated responsible counterparts; priorities are being qualified for engagement with Spanish industrial partners.
National Emergency Medical Services Modernisation
A multi-component initiative to strengthen Uzbekistan’s emergency medical system through specialised ambulance capability, workforce training, dispatch and fleet-management digitalisation, technical standards and service infrastructure. The project has progressed through official ministerial communications, working visits and framework development with Spanish sector partners.
Institutional interface
Designed to interface with Spain’s internationalisation ecosystem—not to speak for it.
SCABG prepares local opportunities so they can be assessed by the appropriate Spanish companies and, where relevant, by Spain’s public internationalisation ecosystem. Each company and institution retains its own mandate, eligibility criteria and decision-making authority.
ICEX and the OFECOMES network
Internationalisation services, market intelligence and in-market support.
FIEM
Official financing for eligible Spanish export and investment operations, subject to its own assessment and approval.
COFIDES
Financing for viable overseas investment projects with Spanish interest.
CESCE
Export-credit and investment-risk cover.
ICO
Financing and, where applicable, financial-agent functions.
MAEC and Spanish embassies
Political and institutional relations and economic diplomacy.
